Hypnotherapy Fees
- Free Initial Consultation (either by telephone, email or in person). This session lasts about 30 minutes.
For subsequent consultations, Pam’s fees are:
- Further Sessions – £65 per hour
- Smoking Cessation – Unlike other hypnotherapists, I do not charge a higher fee for smoking cessation sessions. The usual hourly rate is applied; usually only one or two sessions are needed. Other therapists charge a increased fee simply because people who want to stop smoking will agree to pay it, on the basis that they will recoup the cost very quickly once they no longer have to buy cigarettes. However there is no real justification for charging extra for this type of hypnotherapy and so I charge at my standard rate.
- Weight loss clients can be seen in groups for a small additional administration fee. This means the cost for each individual is significantly reduced – please see Hypnosis for Weight Loss page.
- For those clients who are referred to me by their employer, a 15% discount is offered on the prices listed above.
An initial consultation is necessary in order to discuss with you the details of the treatment and to take a case history, in order to ascertain precisely what the best treatment for you will be. In the initial consultation you will be given a treatment plan, detailing how many sessions are likely to be necessary, and what we aim to achieve in each one.
How to Get the Most from Hypnotherapy
Whilst anyone can enjoy the experience of hypnosis, there is extensive research which shows that individuals trained in relaxation and responding to suggestions gain more benefit from hypnotherapy. Hypnosis is after all a method of responding to suggestions, made to you by the hypnotherapist according those changes you want to make in your life. Part of the free initial consultation will therefore be spent in coaching you in simple relaxation techniques, in responding to suggestions and using your imagination, and to answer any questions you have about hypnotherapy in general. In order to get the most from your treatment you can then, if you wish to do so, practice those relaxation and imagination techniques before the next session. Hypnosis is a collaborative effort between therapist and client, and the vast majority of clients find they benefit greatly from the use of self hypnosis, which can also very easily be taught.
